We are looking for a friendly and motivated Concierge to manage the day-to-day operations of the Welcome Desk. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring a high-quality, relational experience for all members. Working closely with the Membership and Marketing Director, you will help achieve annual goals while maintaining thorough knowledge of YMCA policies, procedures, and safety measures.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist members and guests, providing a warm, friendly, and professional experience.
- Handle membership inquiries, registrations, and account updates.
- Provide information about YMCA programs, services, and events, and promote membership benefits.
- Process payments and manage transactions efficiently and accurately.
- Collaborate with the Membership and Marketing Director to meet annual membership goals.
- Ensure the Welcome Desk is fully stocked and organized, maintaining a professional and inviting appearance.
- Adhere to all YMCA practices, policies, and safety measures to ensure the safety and well-being of members and staff.
- Address member concerns and complaints, resolving issues with empathy and professionalism.
- Maintain a positive and upbeat attitude while promoting a strong sense of community and member engagement.
Requirements and Skills:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with members.
- Ability to work efficiently and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
- Motivation to achieve personal and team goals.
- Knowledge of YMCA programs and services is a plus, or the willingness to learn.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent. Previous customer service experience is preferred.
