Community Events

The Saginaw YMCA strengthens our community by planning events that are inclusive and family-friendly. Whether you want to learn more about healthy living, access support for veterans and seniors, or sit back and enjoy live music, there is an event for you!

Upcoming Events:

October

Senior Healthy Living Expo: Friday, October 3rd

10 AM – 1 PM

Senior focused businesses and organizations gather to educate and interact with senior citizens from the region.

 

PNO: Saturday, October 18th

2 – 8 PM

We have a SPOOKY PNO for your kids to have a blast at! Fun activities, snacks, and more Halloween surprises! Ages 4 – 10!

*Expect our regular routine, like swimming, games, and gym time, in addition to spooky surprises*

Parents Night Out

 

Trunk or Treat: Saturday, October 25th

5 – 7 PM

A fun community event from our parking lot filled with candy, music, and a touch of spooky vibes!

Expect: a Trunk or Treat, a DJ, STEM Zone, Travelin Tom’s Coffee Truck (to purchase beverages), and a haunted hallway inside (at your discretion).

There will be a car decorating competition for participants in the trunk or treat. No trunk? Bring a table / EZ Up tent to decorate! If you would like to sign up, you can sign up with our Google Form or our PDF, manually write/type in Saginaw YMCA Trunk or Treat Registration Form.

IMPORTANT INFO

Set up time: 2:30 – 4:30 PM

  • You will need to bring enough candy for at least 500 kids. All candy must be individually wrapped.
  • All trunk themes MUST be family friendly.
  • Cash prizes will be awarded to the first, second, and third place for best trunk.
  • Please bring a lawn chair if needed.

Keep Saginaw Kicking Adult Kickball Tournament

 

Heroes Appreciation Day: Friday, November 7th

8 – 11 AM

We’re honored to celebrate the local heroes, Veterans, First Responders, Medical Professionals, Police Officers, Firefighters, and Lifeguards.

All local heroes, their families, and the community are invited to enjoy a complimentary breakfast, courtesy of The Pancake Man.

We will also have the Veterans Wellness Expo featuring local vendors and community resources!

There will be a dodgeball tournament at 12 PM. Sign your team up!

  • Teams will consist of 5 members with at least two females.
  •  The game lasts 8 minutes max.
  • The winner will be the team with the most active players.
  •  $50 Entry Fee

Looking for something for the kids to do during Christmas Break? Come and join us here at the Y for a Christmas Under the Sea!
From 8:00 am until 4:00 pm, drop the kids off for an ocean themed day camp. Explore Ocean Science through hands on STEM activities.
