Lifeguard Certification Course

The purpose of the Red Cross Life guarding course is to provide entry-level life guarding participants with the knowledge and skills to prevent, recognize and respond to aquatic emergencies and to provide care for injuries and sudden illnesses until EMS arrive and take over. Must complete an online portion prior to first day of class, bring swim suit, towel and course materials and attend every class to pass course. Upon passing course participants will receive a lifeguard, first aid and CPR/AED certification valid for 2 years.

Prerequisite: 300 yard swim; dive down 9 feet and retrieve a 10 lb brick; 2 min tread w/ no hands
Materials needed: Completed Online work prior to first day of class, Bathing suit, Towel
