Important Information Regarding your Existing YMCA Membership
June 11, 2020
Dear YMCA of Saginaw Members,
Thank you for your continued support of the YMCA cause, Strengthening Community. We are grateful for your patience during this difficult and unprecedented time.
The YMCA recognizes that the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic is putting unprecedented financial strain on individuals, families, and employers like your YMCA. In response to these times we want to share with our membership the following process, as it relates to your membership dues.
While the building is closed, the Y is supporting our community with essential services. We continue to serve over 3,000 meals per week to youth and families in the community, have been offering outdoor group exercise classes 6 days a week, are connecting with our senior population and those dealing isolation, and have offered water safety learning classes throughout the pandemic. We know these are difficult times for many and we want to remind our membership that they can at any time put their membership on hold to stop dues payments. As a leading community non profit still offering essential services it has been decided our dues would be reinstated starting on June 15, 2020. We are doing our part to help our members and our community continue to thrive in this tough time.
Many members are “Staying With Us” during these times and supporting the charitable work of the YMCA. Should you like to continue to support the Y by keeping your membership active you do not need to contact member services. Should you decide that at this time you would like put your membership on hold contact membership@SaginawYMCA.org
