Mat Pilates with Melinda at the Saginaw YMCA is a 4-week beginner-friendly series focused on core strength, mobility, and mindful movement. Learn the classical Pilates sequence in a supportive environment and build a strong, balanced foundation.

What to Expect:

Build strength, improve flexibility, and reconnect with your body in this 4-week classical Mat Pilates series led by Melinda. Designed for beginner and intermediate participants, this class follows Joseph Pilates’ original mat sequence and emphasizes core engagement, breath control, and body awareness.

You’ll move through:

  • Full-body strength and mobility exercises

  • Gentle stretching to improve posture and flexibility

  • Progressive weekly structure to build confidence and consistency

  • A supportive, beginner-friendly environment

 

Whether you’re brand new or brushing up on fundamentals, you’ll leave feeling stronger, more balanced, and connected from the inside out.

Class Details

  • When: Saturdays, 12:00 PM – 12:50 PM
  • Where: Saginaw YMCA Fitness Studio
  • A mat, water bottle, and a readiness to center your body and mind
  • Participants must be able to get down to the floor and back up safely.
