Maintenance

As a Maintenance Assistant, you will play a key role in ensuring the functionality, cleanliness, and safety of our building. You will be responsible for general maintenance, building setups, and custodial tasks to support the daily operations of the YMCA.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure the building and equipment are in good working condition.
  • Assist with setting up and breaking down rooms for various programs and events.
  • Complete custodial duties, including cleaning, floor care, and restocking supplies.
  • Assist in minor repairs and adjustments to facility equipment.
  • Monitor and report any maintenance issues or safety concerns to management.
  • Work collaboratively with a diverse team to ensure the facility is ready for all members and guests.
  • Maintain an organized and safe work environment.

Requirements and Skills:

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to handle basic maintenance and custodial tasks.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Positive attitude and commitment to providing excellent service.
  • Previous maintenance or custodial experience preferred.
