The YMCA was founded on a simple but powerful idea: bringing neighbors together to advance the common good, we can improve lives and strengthen communities. That idea came to life 170 years ago when George Williams convened 11 volunteers to improve the lives of young men struggling to overcome the challenges of life in industrialized London.
Volunteers are the most vital and irreplaceable element of the Y. In short, we simply cannot create such a lasting and meaningful impact in Saginaw without you!
Apply to be a Volunteer
It’s easy to make real change in your community through VOLUNTEERISM. With the Y, you can activate your sense of social responsibility by contributing your time and talent to create a difference in the lives of your friends and neighbors — coaching a youth sports team, mentoring a teen after school, serving meals through our Mission Nutrition program, providing support for a family who needs you, and much more.
We’re always looking for volunteers to help further our cause. To apply for one of our many volunteer opportunities, send us a message via the online form and our volunteer coordinator will reach out to you with next steps. Must be age 16+ or volunteer along-side an adult.
