YMCA Camp Timbers Unveils New Facilities

On Sunday, June 3, 2018, YMCA Camp Timbers will unveil a $1.8 million renovation as part of a Camp Open House, celebrating the completion of a new recreation pavilion and upgraded facilities. The improvements, made possible by the KidsCampUs campaign in partnership with the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Great Lakes Bay Region, will enhance the camp’s ability to host multiple groups and provide all-weather activity spaces. The upgraded main lodge, dining hall, and new bathroom facilities ensure that Camp Timbers remains a welcoming, functional, and accessible place for campers for years to come.

Together We Impact the Community

The YMCA of Saginaw is expanding its commitment to community health by offering Evidence-Based Health Initiative Programs, including Blood Pressure Self Monitoring, LiveSTRONG at the YMCA, and Healthy Weight and Your Child. These programs aim to make a significant impact on the health of local residents, addressing issues like high blood pressure, obesity, and childhood health. With the support of community partners such as CMU Health and MiHIA, the YMCA is working to create lasting, positive changes in the health and well-being of the Great Lakes Bay Region. A press conference will be held on March 15th at 10:00 am at the YMCA of Saginaw to introduce these programs and highlight their potential benefits.
