kETTLEBELLS
A kettlebell is a traditional Russian cast iron weight that looks like a cannonball with a handle. Using these weights, class participants are taken through a variety of movements designed to develop strength, mobility, internal energy, work capacity and vitality. TRX
The TRX Suspension Trainer is the original bodyweight-based
ADULT PROGRAMS POWERLIFTING
training tool that builds strength, balance, flexibility and core stability. Because every body movement is powered by the torso—the abs and back working together to support the spine during everyday activities—Suspension Training works to build that needed core strength. WOMEN ON WEIGHTS
Interested in learning more about free weights and how
to incorporate them into your workouts? Then Women on Weights (WOW) is perfect for you! This small-group class generally runs from six to eight weeks and teaches women proper weight-lifting etiquette, technique and routine. The goals of Women on Weights are to assist women in improving posture, increasing strength and losing body mass. You’ll
see positive transformation to your body, and you will get stronger. Classes are taught by certified personal trainers. Check website for free trial dates.

The powerlifting program provides practice in how to safely strength train, helping you work toward lifting your maximum weight through three specific lifts: bench press, squat and deadlift. A Certified Professional Trainer will provide a safe training plan specifically for you and your current lifting ability.

TRIATHLON TRAINING
Train, Improve, Succeed! In this program, participants will train for an indoor sprint-distance triathlon event consisting of a 12-mile bike ride, a 3.1-mile run and a 500-yard swim. This is a challenging but realistic goal for anyone. The program includes 10 weeks of training, group workouts and personal trainer, race entry, and T-shirt. Culminates with the race on March 25.

MOvING FOR BETTER BALANCE
Older adults and those with chronic health conditions often feel they must accept impaired balance and limited mobility – this is not true. You can build strength, improve balance and gain confidence in your mobility through Moving For Better Balance. This is a 12-week, evidence-based, instructor-led group program designed to help you improve your strength, balance, flexibility and mobility through slow, therapeutic movements based on Tai Chi. Moving for Better Balance includes two class sessions and two-plus hours of at-home practice per week. The program takes place in a safe and supportive group setting.
