Your hair will get wet in this aquatics workout in the shallow pool combining cardio and strength components using the kickboards, body weight and water dumbbells. •

Water-based class geared toward our active older adults, however anyone is welcome! This is a low intensity water class. •

In addition to a full slate of land-based exercise classes, the Saginaw Family YMCA offers members the chance to take their workouts to one or both pools.

WATER WALKING – click for  SHALLOW POOL SCHEDULE FOR TIMES:
Simply changing your walking routine from land to water keeps it interesting, while allowing you to work different muscles as part of the exercise.  The water provides resistance, making your muscles work harder. At the same time, it provides buoyancy, helping reduce strain to your joints.  Try walking backward and sideways to tone other muscles.  This warmer, shallow pool is 2’6″ to 3’6″ deep.
