There’s no age limit on good health and the Y is here to help you cultivate a healthy lifestyle at any age! The Y has fitness classes specifically designed for older adults. They give participants an opportunity to stay physically active or in some cases, to overcome their fear of exercise and begin being physically active.

Y Active Older Adult (AOA) fitness programs accommodate a wide variety of interests and functional abilities of older adults. Active Older Adults programs include water exercise, dancing, cardio drumming, strengthening, yoga, walking clubs and so much more.

Dance Fit (AOA) Mondays
Oct 14 @ 10:15 am – 11:00 am
Learn a variety of dances for fun and fitness. Dances include: line, party, country, and more all while enjoying a great variety of music from the 1960’s to the 2000’s. Have fun while improving your balance and coordination. This class will also provide a low intensity aerobic workout (walking speed). “If you can walk, you can dance”.

Limited to 30 people.

 

Yoga, Chair Monday

Class offers a variety of safe movements with restorative breathing exercises to promote stress reduction and mental clarity. Yoga increases flexibility, strength and balance and helps you relax.  •

Aqua Flexible (AOA) Mon Wed Fri

Co-ed class taught in the shallow warm water pool. Designed to minimize stress on the joints and improve flexibility. •

Aimed at those who may have an injury, be a beginner to workouts or just need a change in their activity. This class is set to slower music with a much lower level of intensity. •

You’ve asked for it; so here it is!
Join Chelsea in the aerobic studio. We’ll pound our drumsticks for the majority of the class, but will end will some core work, a cool down and stretching. No equipment is required.

FREE for members.
Non-Y Members: Those purchasing $10 guest pass for one day should plan to arrive early. You will be able to use the Y for the entire day.
