Teen Camps

Teen Leadership Camp:

Register by 12/31 – $449

Session 5 (July 14-19), Session 6 (July 21-26)
Ages 14-16

Whether a first-time camper or a seasoned returner, all teens are invited to participate in our teen camp, the first step in our progressive leadership program. Campers experience leadership-based activities in the morning and enjoy traditional camp activities for the remainder of the day. A special off-site trip and single morning service project are included.

AuSable River Canoe

Session 5 (July 14-19)
Ages 14-15

The AuSable River Canoe trip is a 5-day, 4-night adventure, where teens canoe, pack, and camp along the AuSable River. It is a co-ed trip, and open to ages 14-15. Campers spend Sunday evening at Camp Timbers, and return to camp for pick-up on Friday. Neither prior experience nor specialized gear is needed. Spaces are limited.

Sailing the Straits

Session 6 (July 21-26)
Ages 15-17

This unique experience includes a 5-day, 4-night adventure sailing on the Retriever, a 52′ sailboat owned and operated by the Boy Scouts of America. Participants sail and sleep aboard the ship, which departs from Mackinaw City. Specific itinerary is weather-dependent. This adventure is a co-ed trip, and open to ages 15-17. Campers spend Sunday evening at Camp Timbers, and return to camp for pick-up on Friday. Neither prior experience nor specialized gear is needed. Spaces are limited.

Pictured Rocks Backpacking

Session 7 (July 28-August 2)
Ages 15-17

The Pictured Rocks Backpacking Trip is a 5-day, 4-night adventure, where teens hike and camp along the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. It is a co-ed trip, and open to ages 15-17. Campers spend Sunday evening at Camp Timbers, and return to camp for pick-up on Friday. Neither prior experience nor specialized gear is needed. Spaces are limited.


Counselor-In-Training (CIT) Program:

Register by 12/31 – $600
Register by 3/31 – $615
Register after 3/31 – $625

Session 4-5 (July 7-19)
Ages 16-17

This two-week camper experience is for those teens ready to be role models and interested in working with youth. CITs enjoy four days of the biggest and best camp activities, experience a three-day overnight canoe trip on the AuSable River, and spend six days learning and leading younger campers alongside our counselors.
