2017 Seasonal Summer Positions

Summer Camp Employment Dates: June 10th-July 29th, 2017 (unless specified below).

Required Staff Training is June 10th-16th.

Position titles with * include additional Leadership Staff Training May 18-19th and June 7-9th

Note – Positions with weekly rates require overnight commitment of 6-days, 5-nights per week.

Senior Cabin Counselors
The ULTIMATE role model experience!  Provide direct supervision and leadership in a cabin of 8-10 campers. Enthusiastically set the tone for your campers each week as you facilitate cabin-based activities.   Strive to create memorable experiences and cohesive, family-like cabins.
Must be 18+; at least 1-year of college preferred.
$1250 -$1450/ 7-weeks (limited 3-week positions available June 10 – July 1)

Assistant Cabin Counselors
Assist with supervision and leadership in a cabin of 8-10 campers.  Be a role model for campers with your camp spirit and our values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.
Must be 17+; camp experience preferred.
$900-$1050 / 7-weeks

Camp Health Officer*
Provide basic health care needs to campers and staff, including prevention,
first-aid, administering medications.
Must be 21+ and RN, LPN, or EMT.
$300-$325/week (ends August 5)

Waterfront Director (Head Lifeguard)*
Create a culture of camper engagement and safety as you lead waterfront activities on private Piper Lake.  Serve as head lifeguard and facilitate our daily Water Sports Specialty.
Must be 19+; lifeguard experience required.
$1400-1800 / 8-weeks (ends August 5)

Program Director*
Are you creative and organized, with an interest in planning remarkable experiences?  Oversee the weekly activity schedule, create “magical moments” for campers throughout the day,
plan camp-wide evening activities, and more!
Must be 19+; camp experience required.
$1400-1800 / 8-weeks (ends August 5)

Outdoor Leadership Trip Leaders
Interested in being a role model in the wilderness?
Lead week-long overnight hiking/canoeing trips for teens in Michigan national forests.
Must be 19+; trip/backcountry experience and WFA/WFR certification required.
$200-250 /week.  3-5 weeks.

Horse Riding Instructor/Guide
Assist Ranch Director with leadership of all horse programs including lessons, trail rides, horse care.
Age 18+.
$1250-1450 / 7-weeks

Kitchen/Maintenance Support Staff
Make exceptional camp experiences possible by working behind-the-scenes with our Food Services or Maintenance teams.  Various positions available, including AM/PM cooks, kitchen assistants, and buildings/grounds assistants.  AM/PM Cook Positions: Previous experience required.  $200-300/week based on hours
Assistant Positions:
Must be 17+, related experience preferred.
$125-$175/week stipend.
