YMCA Camp Timbers is inspected and licensed by the State of Michigan annually and accredited by the American Camping Association (ACA).

We believe in continual incremental improvements and the highest standard of safety and quality for our campers.  For this reason, we voluntarily choose to be an ACA-accredited camp – which includes demonstrating compliance to over 195 standards.

Additionally, YMCA Camp Timbers complies with annual standards set by the Ogemaw County Health Department and State Fire Marshall.

All program area staff hold certifications where appropriate. Universal Ropes Builders, inc. trains and certifies all high adventure specialists and lifeguards hold current certifications through the American Red Cross.
