*At the Y, we know families take a variety of forms.  As a result, we define parent broadly to include all adults with primary responsibility for raising children, including biological parents, adoptive parents, guardians, stepparents, grandparents, or any other type of parenting relationship.

NOTE:  SUMMER SESSIONS RUN:  2 weeks
Monday – Thursday week one and Monday – Wednesday week two

Youth Group Swim Lessons

Ages 3 – 5 years
Ages 6 – 12 years

Due to many changes in the Y-USA requirements, if your child has not been in a 2017 session, you must sign them up for the next test out day to learn what stage they will be in for their swim lesson.

Swim Lesson Priority Order:
Kids who have tested out previously and haven’t taken a lesson.
Kids who have finished a current session.
Kids currently testing out.

Our new and improved, more personalized, smaller class sizes for safety have led to a need for waiting lists.  The Swim Sports Play Manager will begin making calls the day after each test out or session completes  with class assignments or recognition of wait list placement.

Prior to registering for a group swim lesson, participants need to attend a test out day so we can properly place them at the correct starting point.

Once your child has passed stage 5 they will be ready for either competitive or non competitive swim team.

  • Build confidence around the water
  • Learn water safety skills
  • Improve stroke development
