Lap Swim / Water Walk

  • Designated lanes are provided for lap swimming (deep pool) and water walking (shallow pool) ages 16 and up.
  • Lap swimmers may be asked to swim circular using the right side of their respective lanes. Each turn should be approached from the right to the left and finished with a straight-ahead push off.
  • Lanes may be available during youth classes. Please check schedules.

Not a swimmer? Changing your walking routine from land to WATER WALKING keeps it interesting while allowing you to work different muscles as part of the exercise. The water provides resistance, making your muscles work harder. At the same time, it provides buoyancy, helping reduce strain to your joints. Try walking backward and sideways to tone other muscles.
